Money for Home Computers

There is a new scheme called Home Access to help improve the education of children aged between 7 and 14 years by providing them with money towards a computer at home to help them with their school work.

If you are a family on a low income and in receipt of benefits such as:

  • Income Support
  • Jobseekers Allowance
  • Child Tax Credit
  • Employment Support Allowance

And your child is in full-time education, the government are offering a grant towards the cost of a computer and software which also includes free internet access for a year.

You can visit the Home Access site to see whether you can get a grant, and find information on how to apply.
