Festive Cheer

Jackie is organising a big event on our estate on the 15th of December at 6pm.

To kick off the festivities there will be carol singing around the estate with the Lower Falinge Choir accompanied by the Salvation Army Band. Thanks to our friends at Hopwood Hall.

Following this, the Junior Wardens, with help from Hebron Social Concern, will be putting on a nativity play at Hebron Church. To round off the day there will be coffee and mince pies. Mmmmm, can't wait, hope to see you all there!

Dear Lynne , As Chair of the RBH Representative Body you have apparently decided that, after an initial investigation, @andrewroche has “a case to answer to.” I am involved in this issue; I've been mentioned in the email sent to Andrew, so I am contacting you about this matter. Please see photos for a copy of the email Andrew received; red numbers denote order. Since there are no contact details available for you as Chair of the RBH Rep Body, I am contacting you here. I am very concerned about the way Andrew is being treated. RBH’s email says you are responsible for the way Andrew is being treated, however, I note this contradicts RBH’s own documentation: it is RBH’s Secretary who is responsible for this decision “in consultation with the Chair of the Representative Body and the Chief Executive”. Rochdale Boroughwide Housing recently scolded me on Twitter for trying to interact with them. I replied to each of their scolding tweets (there were four), and this is what they tweeted to me in return: You can view the whole  exchange   on Twitter. You're so committed that I've had to take a complaint about you not providing me with the reasonable adjustments I need to the Housing Ombudsman Service (HOS). Interesting Times for Lower Falinge

Things are changing. Rochdale Boroughwide Housing has decided on a dramatic plan to demolish half of the blocks. There are obviously mixed feelings about this development, but at the moment there are not many details of what will replace the homes being brought down. Here are a few links that may be useful during this uncertain period. Lower Falinge Community Activity Group , the local Tenants & Residents Association, has provided a Facebook Group for residents to discuss the plans.
