Celebration & Health Event

Lower Falinge & Freehold Women's Group would like you to share in a celebration of their achievements over the last twelve months which was made possible through funding by the Aspirations Board in partnership with RBH & the Health Connections Team.

There are lots of things planned, including:

  • Launch of Flavours of Falinge recipe book
  • NHS Health Awareness stands
  • Art & Craft Exhibition
  • Free Health MOT’s with the health trainers
  • Light refreshments

The event will be held on Tuesday 25th January 2011 from 11.00am until 2.00pm at the Hebron Pentecostal Church, Falinge Road. Please confirm your attendance by Tuesday 18th January.

An Open Letter to Rochdale Boroughwide Housing

Rochdale Boroughwide Housing recently scolded me on Twitter for trying to interact with them. I replied to each of their scolding tweets (there were four), and this is what they tweeted to me in return: You can view the whole  exchange   on Twitter. You're so committed that I've had to take a complaint about you not providing me with the reasonable adjustments I need to the Housing Ombudsman Service (HOS). Interesting Times for Lower Falinge

Things are changing. Rochdale Boroughwide Housing has decided on a dramatic plan to demolish half of the blocks. There are obviously mixed feelings about this development, but at the moment there are not many details of what will replace the homes being brought down. Here are a few links that may be useful during this uncertain period. Lower Falinge Community Activity Group , the local Tenants & Residents Association, has provided a Facebook Group for residents to discuss the plans.
